Estate Sale in San Mateo

We will be conducting a spectacular collector's sale at a home in the San Mateo hills this coming weekend. This is a very interesting sale with a broad spectrum of cultures, qualities and values represented.

Friday: 11-5 (Note the later start time on Friday)
Saturday & Sunday: 10-5

Included in the sale:
  • Large collection of English and American sterling silver and silver plated wares. 
  • Several Inuit prints and sculptural items. 
  • Impressive assortment of ladies hand mirrors including American, Continental, Chinese and Japanese examples. In this category some outstanding pieces are Chinese enamel mirrors embellished with  hardstone, jade and gems and a selection of archaic Chinese and Japanese cast bronze disc form mirrors, some from the Tang dynasty  and Edo period.
  • Steinway A Model from the 1920's.
  • Oriental carpets, some silk.  
  • Russian porcelain dinner service along with hundreds of decorated ceramics from assorted countries. Several stemware services including Waterford. 
  • Great collection of Chinese and Japanese furniture, decorative items and art including bronzes, paintings and prints. In this category: a very nice black lacquer and gilt decorated wall panel and a large painting on board of Chinese court life and an assortment of screens.  
  • Archaic stone and wooden sculpture are represented, including examples of early Columbia River stone carvings and wooden African pieces. 
  • Several hundred pieces of fine jewelry will be offered.
  • Nice quality linens, blankets, quilts, men's and women's clothing.
  • Good quality kitchen wares, nice assortment of Brown & Jordan outdoor furnishings, stone and mosaic planter and pots, and much  more.  


Staff will be on premises during the day for setup, and in the evening for security. Monitored alarm system, locked cases for valuables during the sale, and alert veteran staff members. Valuables are removed in the evening.

Access is easy from 92. Parking is easy in this residential neighborhood. The street is flat.
