The
sale contents are a combination of numerous recent Estate acquisitions
from sources where on-site sales were not feasible. Nearly all of the
items being offered are fresh and have never been
shown before. Many will be attractively
priced with intent to appeal to dealers and private parties alike. We will invite offers and actively bargain as
the sale proceeds into Sunday and Monday.
The facility is spacious, parking is convenient on the weekend. The
building is fully accessible. Good
security is in place with monitored alarm, closed circuit surveillance and
alert staff. In the pursuit of safety
for all, we will keep congestion to a minimum. Please come and enjoy
yourselves.
Offerings in Jewelry include
examples of fine, silver and costume jewelry pieces representing around 2,000
items. We are offering a nice selection of heavy gold pieces including high
karat, a large assortment of ladies rings and bracelets, a number of diamond
pieces including a 2 carat Old European Cut ring, as well as a vast selection
of Native American, Danish, American, English and Continental silver examples, and
numerous flats of vintage and contemporary Costume jewelry. This category has
approximately 250 newly acquired examples of fine jewelry and hundreds of
pieces of fresh costume pieces. This is an excellent sale for jewelry
enthusiasts.
American, Asian and
Continental furnishings and decorative items are well represented with some
Danish Modern examples, a large collection of sterling hollowware and a very
large service of Lansdowne flatware along with other smaller services. Limoges pill boxes are aplenty with 90 pieces
available together with approximately 80 contemporary table top picture frames,
some from Gumps. A large assortment of Wedgwood Jasperware items and a number
of Herend figures and table wares add verve.
There are also a large quantity of contemporary small decorative wares,
china floral whimsies, miniature brass clocks, small sculptural novelty wares
and much more. These were sourced from a
zealous collector's collection in San Francisco and the stock from a Hallmark
store which closed some while back. As well, we will be offering the remainder of
our impressive ceramic chicken collection. It is reduced from our last sale,
but there are still some cool chicks looking for homes.
Of special interest is a
mammoth selection of unused greeting cards, novelty decorated gift bags,
stationary and bound diaries. Many of
these are by premium paper goods manufacturers such as Papyrus, Marcel Schurman
and Paula Skein along with Hallmark. We
estimate 25,000 items at wholesale and less.
Last but not least is a collection
of 10,000 comic books from the 70’s through early 2000’s. This is a very well selected group with
mainly condition scale 7 and above.
Almost all of the group is housed in plastic sleeves. It contains all of your favorites: X-Men,
Fabulous Four, The Avengers, Spiderman, Star Wars, Iron Fist and all the rest.
The great mass will be offered for $3.00 each on the first day and descending
to $1.00 each on the final day. There
are also categories of $5.00/ $10.00/ $20.00 books and some individual items in
the $40.00-$125.00 range.
